The New York Jets open their preseason slate of the 2024 season against the Washington Commanders Saturday afternoon.

While not all of New York's starters are expected to see time today, there are still plenty of players of interest who will get plenty of looks between both the Commanders and the Jets themselves.

Let's break down everything you need to know going into the matchup.

Who: New York Jets vs. Washington Commanders

    Where: MetLife Stadium

    When: Saturday, August 10th, 2024 - 12:00 pm - ET

    How to Watch: NFL+, CBS

In a regular season setting, this game would be billed as a dual between the likes of Aaron Rodgers and second-overall pick Jayden Daniels. While Washington's star rookie quarterback is expected to see action today, New York's franchise quarterback will not.

Instead, the Jets are hoping to see solid work from the likes of 11th-overall pick Olu Fashanu and third-round rookie Malachi Corley. Both players have had strong training camps, but this is the first time they'll be playing in an NFL game - regardless if it matters or not.
