The Miami Marlins will play the second game of their three-game weekend home series with the San Diego Padres on Saturday late afternoon.

Miami lost the series opener last night after the bullpen couldn't hold on to a 2-1 lead in the ninth inning. That game went into extra innings and the Padres won 6-2.

San Diego is currently the top team in the National League wild-card standings by three and a half games. The Arizona Diamondbacks and New York Mets are right behind them, while the Atlanta Braves remain in the hunt.

As for pitching matchups, right-hander Matt Waldron (7-9, 3.79 ERA) will be the starter for San Diego. He has been solid for the most part, and this will be his 24th start of the season. In his last start against the Colorado Rockies, he tossed five and two-thirds innings, allowing one run on two hits.

Waldron's counterpart will be Marlins righty Roddery Muñoz. This will be his 14th outing of the year. His last time out didn't go well, as he gave up four runs on seven hits during three and two-thirds innings against the Cincinnati Reds.

Here are the lineups for both teams
