The final score of last weekend's preseason game against the New York Jets may have been inconsequential, but for the young and developing Washington Commanders the individual grades are indeed meaningful.

We all know how rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels wowed with a perfect deep pass and a touchdown run in only one series of action. But which Commanders player performed the best for head coach Dan Quinn?

The analytics folks at Pro Football Focus have done the heavy lifting - and endless reviewing - for us and graded each and every play and player. In going 2 of 3 for 45 yards and running for a score, Daniels earned a grade of 85.1.

He was good, but not the Commanders' best according to PFF.

The guy at the other end of Daniels' beautiful throw - receiver Dyami Brown - got the best grade with a 91.1. He also made another catch for 13 yards.

    Other Commanders receiving high marks:

Receiver Olamide Zaccheaus (who didn't make a catch but did have a 19-yard punt return) got a 90.2.

Tight end Ben Sinnott received an 87.2 for his three receptions, one of which was an impressive 44-yard catch-and-run. The rookie is battling veteran Zach Ertz for playing time and perhaps even a roster spot, and is off to a good start in the preseason.

The Commanders travel to Miami Saturday night to face the Dolphins in their second of three preseason games.
