Dan Orlovsky Unveils His Maestro Of Precision Passing In The NFL

ESPN analyst and former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky released his top ten quarterbacks in regards to ball placement, and the number one spot may shock some people.

Orlovsky ranked Cincinnati Bengals phenom Joe Burrow as the most accurate ball placement passer in the NFL. Trailing him are Tua Tagovailoa and Patrick Mahomes .

Ball placement and accuracy tend to go hand in hand in most instances, but in this case they are different, and Orlovsky highlights that. He was still quick to note that Mahomes is still the best player and quarterback in the NFL.

"Ball placement and accuracy are different. Accuracy is throwing the ball to your guy, ball placement is throwing the ball away from the defense to get that completion. That's Joe Burrow, he's the best in the league at it." Orlovsky said on Get Up .

In 2022, which was his last healthy season, Burrow led all quarterbacks who completed 400 or more passes in completion percentage at 69%. He did the same thing in 2021, but at a rate of 70%.

This is a big season for Burrow and the Bengals. His health is starting to raise concerns, and he has to prove those naysayers wrong. When healthy, Burrow is a top-tier quarterback in the NFL and hopes to get back to that status this year.

Cincinnati opens the season at home against the New England Patriots and then quickly follow that up with an early Week 2 meeting with Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs .
