The Buffalo Bills have never been shy about developing young linebacker talent. At one point, the likes of Matt Milano went from young prospect to top linebacker in the game.

Now, it appears Buffalo looks like they have another diamond in the rough in Dorian Williams.

Taken in the third round of the 2023 draft, Williams signed in two games with 17 appearances and 40 tackles. Williams is seen as a special teams ace and a true development piece to the Tulane product.

“I saw some growth early in the game,” Bills’ head coach Sean McDermott said. “Still, a lot of work to do. Still remain very confident in Dorian and I think this week will be a big step for him.”

Williams performed admirably according to McDermott in the team's preseason loss to the Chicago Bears.

Buffalo's linebacking core has gone through a deep run of injuries along the position including Milano on Wednesday. With Williams continuing his development, along with several other banged-up players along the position, the Bills are in a unique position to give the young linebacker more of a chance with the starting defense.

It obviously isn't how the group may have wanted it, but there's reason to be excited if you are Dorian Williams.
