Texas A&M Aggies Wide Receiver Offers High Praise for Offensive Coordinator

The Texas A&M Aggies are hitting the reset button on the program as a whole this year, but for the most part, offense has been more of a problem than defense during the previous regime .

That's not to say the defense has been perfect by any means, but for an 'offensive guru' handling things on that side of the ball, the product the team put on the field was clearly not good enough. Moving forward, things will have to change dramatically .

The man charged with doing just that is one of Mike Elko 's first hires in offensive coordinator Collin Klein . Klein was a Heisman finalist quarterback during his playing career as well at Kansas State as well as a successful play caller at his alma mater before arriving to College Station. One of his biggest, both literally and figuratively, pieces in wide receiver Noah Thomas expressed confidence during an appearance with TexAgs Radio on how Klein is bringing things along with the offense

"Coach Klein, he's a great dude," Thomas said of his new offensive coordinator . "His playbook, the way he's teaching it is easy for us to learn and he's doing a great good with that and so is Coach [Holmon] Wiggins , definitely putting in some exotic plays...the more you get to know the playbook, the more comfortable you are on the field and the more vocal I can be as a leader, so it feels really good for sure."

Thomas has yet to reach his ceiling as a player for the Aggies, largely due to injury last season . Now fully healthy once again and seemingly on the same page with the man who will be calling the plays, Thomas is ready for a full breakout season in 2024 .
