Kirk Herbstreit Shares Honest Truth About Joe Burrow

ESPN College GameDay and NFL on Prime analyst Kirk Herbstreit shared some honest truth Thursday while on the Pat McAfee Show about how Joe Burrow has looked throughout training camp thus far.

Burrow is entering his fifth season in the league, and this is the first time he's had a normal offseason on the field. In 2020, the league dealt with COVID-19; in 2021, he was rehabbing his torn ACL; in 2022, he went through an off-season appendectomy; and in 2023, he suffered a calf strain just days into training camp that held him out the bulk of the off-season.

Nontheless, this is his first chance to try go through all his progressions and work alongside his teammates with all his focus on getting better, and Herbstreit has noticed that.

"Joe Burrow looks really good. Keep in mind, he's never had a preseason. This is the first time he has the chance to be in camp. I think the Bengals are very optimistic about the offense and the way Joe looks right now. Herbstreit said.

However, Cincinnati awaits the presence of Ja'Marr Chase returning to the football field as he awaits a new contract with the Bengals. His current departure is a massive hole in the Cincinnati offense, and the hope is a deal is done before week one.

The Bengals open the season in Cincinnati against the New England Patriots on September 8th and look to start the season faster than they've done in years past with Joe Burrow on a mission.
