    Should Chiefs Cut Kadarius Toney?

The Kansas City Chiefs are nearing time to make final roster decisions before the start of the regular season, and they could cut some players they had last season.

In a recent article by Bleacher Report's David Kenyon , he lists one player that every NFL team should cut before the start of the season. For the reigning Super Bowl champions, he thinks they should cut wide receiver Kadarius Toney.

"Truly, it feels like piling on," Kenyon writes. "After several costly mistakes last season, Kadarius Toney headed into the offseason with an uncertain future. And then , the Chiefs signed Marquise Brown and drafted Xavier Worthy. Even as KC might put seven receivers on its opening roster again, Toney is probably the eighth wideout on the depth chart."

Toney was the 20th overall pick in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, and he has not lived up to that title, as the most yards he has finished with was in his rookie season with 420.

This past season with the Chiefs, he played in 13 games, but he still only had 169 yards and one touchdown. He was a liability, most notably in the team's Week 1 loss to the Detroit Lions, where a pass bounced off of his hands to a defender, and it was taken back for a touchdown.

The Chiefs have a few new weapons on their offense, so Toney could be on the outside looking in.
