Five-Star Recruit Cooks Insider After Possibly Spoiling Commitment

The recruiting world is one that absolutely never stops for anyone involved.

Programs across the country are doing their best to make their best offers to recruits, while recruits are attempting to figure out what is the right move for their career, and the media's job is to cover everything that happens along the way. However, over the past few years there has been somewhat of a growing frustration from the athletes and fans about insider predictions.

While they aren't always correct, in most cases, the insiders don't insert their predictions unless they are confident. Meaning, that if they do put in a prediction close to the commitment date, there's a good chance that they have it on good authority that the recruit will be pledging to that respective program.

On Thursday, it was five-star safety Jonah Williams who received an expert prediction in favor of the Texas Longhorns from On3's Steve Wiltfong.

Something that Williams didn't seem to love.

"Yay more predictions,' wrote Williams on X .

While this doesn't necessarily spoil an announcement, it is worth noting that Wiltfong has been correct on 309 of his 327 predictions (94.5%) in the 2025 class.

However, Williams does have one of the most diverse lists of predictions I've ever seen.

On On3's site he has two predictions in favor of Texas, two in favor of Oregon with one of them coming from a Texas insider, and he also has one in favor of LSU.

Over on 247Sports, he has three predictions in favor of Texas A&m and one in favor of Oklahoma. Clearly his recruitment is full of twists and turns.

The No. 10 player in the country, according to On3, also happens to be an elite baseball prospect who could have a future in either sport as a pro. He is set to reveal his decision on Saturday.
