Mark Pope is going to have another big visitor on campus soon. According to Jacob Polacheck of KSR , 2025 top 15 guard Mikel Brown Jr. has scheduled an official visit to Kentucky for September 27-29. Brown Jr. recently received an offer from the Wildcats back in June, and now is looking to ramp up the interest between him and the new Kentucky staff.

A top 15 guard in the class of 2025, Brown Jr. is ranked as the No. 12 overall player in the class, according to 247 Sports' Composite rankings. The five-star guard has been playing for DME Academy in Daytona Beach, Florida, and has received plenty of interest from a number of programs. Those involved in his recruitment include Kentucky, Alabama, Ole Miss, Providence, Texas, Tennessee, Villanova, Louisville, Florida, South Carolina, Kansas, and Texas A&M, among many other schools who are involved. So far, Brown Jr. has taken visits to Alabama, Ole Miss, and Providence, and is now looking to take more. Along with Kentucky, he has scheduled a visit to Indiana for September 13.

The five-star guard also recently talked a little bit about his interest in Kentucky and what Mark Pope's pitch is to him in an interview with Polacheck. "Mark Pope said I’m one of the players who can fit his system and fit what he’s trying to accomplish in winning a championship there," Brown Jr. told Polacheck. "He thinks I’m the best fit for his program. It was a great conversation."

Kentucky will have an elite guard on campus in September. Another top target in the class, Jasper Johnson, is set to make his decision next Thursday.
