The Washington Commanders have worked all offseason to try and turn this team around. From owner Josh Harris to general manager Adam Peters, Dan Quinn, the rest of the coaching staff, and all the new players, this offseason has been an overhaul.

August 10, 2024: Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels celebrates his first touchdown with center Tyler Biadasz in a 20-17 loss to the New York Jets.

NFL Spin Zone puts together NFL power rankings every week. It seems that quarterback Jayden Daniels & Co. are making progress in that field as they begin the season ranked at No. 26.

“This might be the highest we’ve had the Commanders in any of our offseason NFL power rankings so far. Maybe,” NFL Spin Zone writes . “The Commanders used the 2nd overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft on Heisman winning quarterback Jayden Daniels, who could end up immediately being one of the most dynamic dual-threat quarterbacks in the league.

“When you combine [Dan] Quinn’s defensive play-calling abilities with a dynamic quarterback like Jayden Daniels, you might have the recipe for a little overachieving. Maybe…”

Daniels has been a humble leader since the day he walked into the building. His ability to quickly bond with his teammates has been touted and shouted to the rooftops.

We have a sneaking suspicion that the Commanders ranking on this list will soon begin to go up as the season gets underway.
