There's been several interesting position battles for Texas during fall camp.

Much of the attention appeared to be centered around the wide receiver unit. The room is loaded with talent and aside from transfer wide receiver Isaiah Bond, many were unsure who the other two starting pass catchers would be.

We don't have to wait any longer to find out.

The Longhorns released the first depth chart of the 2024 college football season on Saturday. The three starting wide receivers for Texas' Week 1 matchup against Colorado State are Bond, DeAndre Moore, and Matthew Golden.

While the three players are certainly deserving of a starting role, expect to see a heavy rotation of Silas Bolden, Johntay Cook , and Ryan Wingo as well.

Overall, there aren't many surprises on the initial depth chart. It's worth noting that Gunnar Helm appears to have won the starting tight end job even though Texas brought in Alabama's Amari Niblack this offseason via the transfer portal.

Texas' Week 1 kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. CT on ESPN.
