New York Giants legend Eli Manning’s family took another step forward in football history today. ... in the form of a new kid on the block.

The Mannings' impact on football has been felt for decades.

From "grandpa'' Archie Manning down to his sons Peyton and Eli, the quarterback genes are strong. And now it's Arch's turn as he had himself a fun Saturday down in Austin.

Jan 1, 2024; New Orleans, LA, USA; Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning (16) warms ups before playing against the Washington Huskies in the 2024 Sugar Bowl college football playoff semifinal game at Caesars Superdome.

With the Texas Longhorns up 38-0 on the Colorado State Rams, Cooper’s son Arch got into the game and led his team to the five-yard line.

On 3rd-and-goal, Arch dropped back to pass, and when nothing was open, he began to scramble. A Rams linebacker quickly closed the gap and at the last moment, Arch flipped the ball out to receiver Silas Bolden who leaped into the end zone for a 44-0 lead and Arch’s first touchdown pass ever in college.

Manning went 4-4 for 65 yards and a touchdown on his first drive. The big play was a 40-yard pass down the right sideline to Johntay Cook II to set the Longhorns up in the red zone.

Manning will remain behind starter Quinn Ewers for this season unless something goes drastically wrong for the Horns.

The team will travel to Michigan to take on the defending national champion Wolverines next week. Texas came into this week ranked No. 4 in the nation and Michigan came in No. 9.

A Week 2 battle of two top 10 teams is a college football fan's dream.
