LSU has lost their opening game four years in a row. They are hoping to break that streak tonight when they face USC at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. LSU linebacker Harold Perkins was just awarded the storied #7 jersey to wear for the 2024 season.

Harold spoke to the media this week about his expectations for tonight’s game and what the jersey recognition means to him,

What are your expectations for this week and getting the season started? What are you most excited about?

Harold: I’m most excited about Sunday but really our process. Just going through everything, making sure we’ve got some structure and executing.

You have to feel better about where you guys are right now. How much more confidence does the unit have as a whole?

Harold: I feel like we are confident. We do the right stuff on and off the field. We have the best coaches in college football. How could you not be excited?

With the jersey recognition, how proud are you of being able to increase your leadership role on this team?

Harold: Oh it means a lot. I’m just a guy coming in trying to do my job as a player and as a teammate. And just be the best I can be and help my teammates be great too.
