The Texas Longhorns defeated the Michigan Wolverines in dominant fashion on Saturday, 31-12. Quinn Ewers was a huge reason for the impressive performance.

The Texas quarterback carved up the Michigan defense throwing for over 200 yards in the first half of play. Ewers' 203-yard first half came against a talent laden Wolverines defense for which many had high expectations in 2024.

After the game, Ewers discussed why he has been so successful in big moments.

"I enjoy big moments. I think what helps me out is I'm not trying to please anybody. I'm not trying to please people who breath one breath at a time."

Ewers' demeanor has been an asset for the Longhorns over the last year. His team mirrored his calm affect on the way to an undefeated record in true road games in 2023.

The Texas signal caller has fared well in a few top games over his career. Ewers famously led the Texas offense to a 34-24 win over the Alabama Crimson Tide last season, throwing for 349 yards against the Tide defense.

The quarterback had a more impressive game against Michigan.

Ewers' controversial inclusion among top NFL draft prospects was one of the bigger topics of discussion over the offseason. However, the star quarterback lived up to his billing on Saturday.

With Saturday's win, Texas improves to 2-0 on the season. Michigan falls to 1-1.
