Despite only recording 37 total yards during his true freshman season at the University of Texas, the hype train for quarterback Arch Manning has only continued to increase.

Earlier today, Paul Finebaum was a guest on " McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning ." The ESPN college football commentator discussed Texas and Oklahoma's respective entrances into the SEC, which became official Monday, and their chances to win the conference in 2025.

“I think they’re both capable of getting one," Finebaum proclaimed. "I don’t think we’re gonna see a run."

Regarding Manning's potential, Finebaum believes the former five-star quarterback could surpass two former Heisman Trophy winners who hailed from the SEC.

“I mean, when you walk around Oklahoma, they have so many championships here in the Big 12, the Big Eight, and all the other leagues. But I would probably lean a little more towards Texas because they have Arch Manning coming in next year,” Finebaum explained.

“I know we’ve seen Tebow, Johnny Manziel, and all these other great quarterbacks, but the hype for Arch Manning as a starter in Texas, I think, is going to leave the rest of those in the dust."
