Two in hospital after head-on crash near I-80

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Two people are in the hospital after a crash in Austintown.

It happened just before 1:30 a.m. Monday on Route 46 near I-80.

Ohio State Highway Patrol says one SUV drove into oncoming traffic and hit another SUV head-on.

Both drivers were taken to Saint Elizabeth Hospital in unknown conditions.

Austintown Fire also responded.

Troopers say drugs and alcohol are suspected to be involved.
