    Philly Weekender: Fringe Festival, First Friday and dollar deals

    It's almost the first Friday of the month, so count on special events and showcases in Old City and throughout Philly. Plus, plenty more to do this weekend:

    🎉 Shop deals at the Baltimore Avenue Dollar Stroll Thursday from 5-8pm. Vendors, music and crafts, stretching from 40th to 51st Streets on Baltimore Avenue , including Clark Park.


    🎭 The Philadelphia Fringe Festival begins Thursday. Catch hundreds of shows and performances at several city venues through Sept. 29.

    💃 Dance the night away at Norris Square Park on Friday. Salsa at the Square , which runs from 6-9pm, includes live performances.

    🐝 Buzz on over to the Philadelphia Honey Festival on Saturday from 10am-4pm at Germantown's Wyck House .

    • You can grab a pint of beer or mead, plus honey-themed demos for the kids.

    🥳 Join the Disability Pride festival and parade on Saturday for food trucks, music and games.

    • Plus, a parade kicking off at City Hall at 11am. The festival runs from noon-4pm between 16th and 18th Streets on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

    🍄 Celebrate the humble fungi at the first-ever Fungadelphia Festival at the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education . Expect guided walks, workshops, food trucks, yoga and vendors. Saturday, 11am-3pm.

    📚 Get your read on at Philadelphia Literacy Day on Saturday from noon-3pm.

    • Authors, games, therapy animals and lots of books at this family-friendly festival on the 1400 block of W Susquehanna Avenue.

    🌻 The Spring Garden Sunflower Festival takes over 17th-19th streets on Fairmount Avenue Saturday. Look for family games, food and craft vendors, and salsa lessons. Noon-7pm.

    📸 Grab your camera and head to the 20/20 Photo Festival . Discussions, book signings, exhibitions and workshops at Cherry Street Pier. Saturday, noon-7pm.

    ☀️ Block Party at the Rail Park keeps the summer vibes going. Performances and arts activities. Free with an RSVP . Saturday, 1-4pm

    🤸🏽‍♀️ The region's top breakers battle it out at Dilworth Park on Sunday at the Red Bull BC One tournament. Prelims at 2pm, main event at 4pm. Free with an RSVP.
