Brian Kelly, LSU Football Have Fans Melting After Landing Elite 5-Star WR Over Alabama, Georgia

Brian Kelly and the LSU Tigers do it again after landing their third five-star commit this offseason. Derek Meadows, a 6-6 wide receiver recruit, was being heavily recruited by schools. But he chose LSU over Alabama, Georgia, Notre Dame, and Michigan.
Meadows originally announced his commitment during a live stream on 247 Sports' YouTube channel . It came down to five schools but Brian Kelly and the LSU football program edged out the competition. Before making his pick, Meadows shared a lengthy "thank you" note to his family and coaches.
"For the next three or four years, I'll be attending Louisiana State University. Go Tigers!"
It's a big get for the Tigers as LSU now has three five-star recruits committed to the program. Not too long ago they also stole five-star defensive back DJ Pickett, who was expected to commit to Oregon. So, Brian Kelly certainly has something cooking in Louisiana.
On top of acquiring three five-star commits, the LSU Tigers have also acquired eight four-star commits as well. This is shaping up to be a solid recruiting class as Brian Kelly enters his third season as the Tigers' head coach.

Brian Kelly might turn things around for LSU sooner, rather than later.
There's a chance LSU acquires more five-star recruits ahead of the 2024 season. But other top programs such as Alabama, Georgia, Oregon, and Ohio State are doing everything they can to get those players. Either way, the fact Brian Kelly can get multiple five-star athletes to commit to his program is big for the Tigers.
LSU will have plenty of challenges this year being in the SEC. But with the College Football Playoffs expanding to 12 teams, there's a chance the Tigers could make an appearance in the postseason.
They open up the regular season against the USC Trojans, which should be a great matchup. Other notable games this year include UCLA, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Alabama, Florida, and Oklahoma.
Look for Brian Kelly to lead his team to a winning record for the third consecutive season in a row. Kelly currently holds a 20-7 record in two seasons with LSU.
