Why Isn't Anyone Talking About This Amazing Cantonese Spot in LA?

Is it because there aren't many Chinese people around? Honestly, because of its location, I did have some stereotypes—could it be a Westernized Chinese restaurant? However, after trying it just once, all I can say is, I fell in love too late... The moment I stepped into the restaurant, I could only say three words, "It's so beautiful!" In LA, it’s hard to find a Chinese restaurant that so closely matches the aesthetic tastes of China while also fulfilling Western fantasies of Chinese aesthetics; the fusion of Eastern and Western antique furniture, complemented by lanterns and twinkling lights, luxurious signboards, and Chinese screens, even the usually tacky fake flowers seemed exceptionally exquisite here. Even more impressive than the ambiance is the food, I didn't expect to find such authentic Cantonese cuisine in Los Angeles: 💎 Char Siu Black Gold 💎 Just like the famous Cantonese restaurants in Guangzhou, one bite brings back childhood memories, the char siu is charred on the outside and tender inside, perfectly sweet and salty; 💎 Sweet and Sour Fish Fillet 💎 The best I've had in the US, not too sour which is a win, the sauce would also be great with a Five-Willow fried egg; 💎 French Beef Cubes 💎 Honestly, this dish is a bit salty, but it goes well with rice, and the beef is cooked so well, the flaw doesn't hide the virtues; Other dishes like fried noodles, crispy pork knuckle, pan-fried dumplings didn’t disappoint, and the black sesame milk cake for dessert was also delicious 😋 Anyway, this Cantonese restaurant fulfilled my fantasies of high-end Chinese dining, capturing the flavors of a well-established Cantonese kitchen. The only downside is it's too far from me, otherwise, I would go back repeatedly for that Char Siu Black Gold! Good news for those on the west side.
