MIDDLETON — Brad and Tyra Davison needed to see last year how a basketball camp would work, but their next step was always part of the plan. The couple — Brad a former University of Wisconsin men's basketball fan favorite from 2017-22 and Tyra a former Indiana women's basketball star from 2014-18 — have a unique schedule. Removed from their college careers, they each play professional basketball in Spain, and they're overseas for nine to 10 months of the year. Then there's a month in Minnesota, time with Brad's parents and time with Tyra's parents.

Prep sports: Oregon begins search for girls soccer coach
Oregon High School is conducting a search for a new girls soccer coach and several assistant coaches for the 2024-25 school year. Led by head coach Bobby Nichols, the Oregon girls soccer team beat Whitefish Bay 1-0 in the WIAA Division 2 state championship in June. Nichols announced he’s moving to Kansas City, Missouri to take a full-time position with the Kansas City Union soccer club as the assistant director of the youth academy.

Verona senior Hunter Franke, who swims for the Hawks Landing Swim Team in the summer, has big expectations for improving his times to earn an opportunity to swim in college.
