UAB breaks ground on $190 million facility
The University of Alabama at Birmingham has broken ground on a $190 million facility for the Marnix E. Heersink School of Medicine and the College of Arts and Sciences. Mountain Brook community holds memorial in honor of longtime football coach
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Monday the Mountain Brook community said goodbye to a man many say will be remembered for the impact he had. Mountain Brook high school football announced on social media, the passing of longtime Assistant Football Coach Michael Thorsen. Roundup: UAB announces planned purchase of St. Vincent’s hospitals
Representatives from both Birmingham Southern College and Miles College have confirmed to The Birmingham Times that negotiations have begun between the two institutions to purchase BSC’s campus. Miles College is a private, historically Black college located in Fairfield, and is the second Historically Black College or University reported to be interested in the campus. Alabama A&M University had previously expressed interest as well.
