    Arrest made in connection to Birmingham Mother’s Day shooting that left father, son injured

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WIAT ) — The Birmingham Police Department announced the arrest of a 22-year-old man in connection to a shooting that left a father and his 12-year-old son injured on Mother’s Day .

    Why mass shootings and violence increase in the summer

    The suspect was identified as Birmingham resident Kamryn Cade. Detectives obtained warrants for two counts of attempted murder, two counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle and first-degree robbery.

    Cade is in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail and being held with no bond.
