Bronny James Blowing Up Online After 1-On-4 Defensive Stop Vs. Celtics

Bronny James wasted no time producing his first highlight reel-worthy play on Monday night as the Los Angeles Lakers took on the Boston Celtics in the NBA 2K Summer League.

Early in the first quarter of the game, Bronny found himself in an unfavorable situation against a Celtics fastbreak. It was the 19-year-old who was the only defender available for the Lakers as he faced off against four Boston players rushing toward the hoop.

There was no way James was backing down, though. In a showcase of athleticism and defensive instincts, Bronny came up with a heads-up play to win the 1-on-4 battle.

Bronny got way up there. In fact, that block had shades of his dad, LeBron James, all over it.

The fans on X (formerly Twitter) seem to agree.

"Is that LeBron?" asked a fan.

"He definitely has 'LeInstincts,'" pointed out another.

"Like father, like son," another fan reacted.

Another fan invokes Gary Payton's name to describe the play.

"That’s hard as hell to pull off," said another amazed fan.

The fans liked the play so much that it prompted the NBA's official X account to post a clip of the block from a closer view and a different angle.

Both clips are already blowing up online, which comes as no surprise. It's Bronny James, after all.
