Bridgewater Police Seeking Help Identifying Suspects in Robbery
BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Bridgewater Police are seeking the public's help in identifying suspects who allegedly robbed a business, according to a post on the department's Facebook page. According to police, on July 12, officers responded to a business in the township for a report of a robbery in progress. The suspects, police said, then fled the scene in a silver two-door sedan. Anyone who can identify the suspects should contact Det. FLEMINGTON — A man was found dead in a cemetery near a wood-chipping machine Wednesday afternoon. Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renée Robeson said Flemington police were called to the Saint Magdalen Cemetery on Thatchers Hill Road around 6:20 p.m. and found Eonias Mateo-Perez, 22, of Flemington, was found with injuries resulting from operating the equipment.
8-year-old killed while riding bike on N.J. street identified
An 8-year-old boy who was fatally struck by a car while riding his bike last week has been identified as Avyaan Gupta, the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office said. 32-year-old motorcyclist dies in crash at N.J. intersection, police say
A motorcyclist died Tuesday night after he was involved in a crash at a Union County intersection, police said. An investigation showed that a motorcycle being driven by 32-year-old Rahway resident Justin Almenas was traveling west on Madison Hill Road in Clark shortly before 8 p.m., authorities said. PLAINFIELD, NJ — Early Monday morning, the Plainfield Police responded to a fire at a vacant property at 401 East 3rd Street on the East End of Plainfield. No injuries were reported, and by late Monday morning the Fire Department was completing what it called a "search and overhaul" to ensure the safety of the building and to assess future hazards. NJ man gets charged after his ATV pins hims against tree
READINGTON — A man riding along an ATV along NJ Transit railroad tracks was charged with DWI after he lost control and became pinned against a tree on Monday. Readington police said Andrew Fultz, 54, of the Whitehouse Station section, was riding west on the Raritan Valley Line tracks around noon when he went down an embankment along Railroad Avenue and became trapped.
Downed Wires Sent Surge Into Westfield Home, Causing Fire, Chief Says
WESTFIELD, NJ — Westfield firefighters responded Wednesday when a large tree on the 1300 block of East Broad Street fell, bringing down live wires that sent a surge of electricity into a house, which caused an electrical fire in the basement, Fire Chief Michael Duelks said. Roselle Park Police Department Investigating Break-In at Local Pharmacy
ROSELLE PARK, NJ — The Roselle Park Police Department has announced that they are investigating a break-in at Rita Pharmacy on Chestnut St. last night. In a statement released on Wednesday morning, the department indicated that late on Tuesday evening, an unknown person broke the front window and robbed the store. The statement says that the suspect was seen "throwing a large object through the front window" before stealing "unknown medication." Fire Breaks Out at Vacant Property on Plainfield's East End
PLAINFIELD, NJ — At around 2:12am, the Plainfield Fire Department responded to a fire at an abandoned building located at 401 East Third Street, between Richmond Street and Roosevelt Avenue. No injuries have been reported. According to the Plainfield Fire Department, the fire escalated to a 3-alarm blaze, which requred assistance from multiple mutual aid companies.
