LSU Swimming and Diving 2024-25 Schedule Features Exciting Competitions
LSU swimming and diving team unveiled its 2024-2025 schedule, featuring 3 home meets, 5 away meets, and 2 invitationals, starting with the annual Purple and Gold Intrasquad on Sept. 14. Early highlights include a dual meet with the University of Texas on Oct. 11 and a competition at the Naval Academy on Oct. 18.

The free event, held to help support the troops, kicked off with The Chris LeBlanc Band and had kids activities, food and booths from local businesses and ended with a fireworks show by Pyromania Fireworks, LCC.

Sydney Berzon named LSWA Pitcher of the Year
After a fantastic sophomore season at LSU, softball’s Sydney Berzon has been named the Louisiana Sports Writers Association Pitcher of the Year in the state. Berzon was also an All-American this season and last, finishing 2024 with a 20-9 record and 1.78 ERA while striking out 185 batters. Her play also earned her First Team All-Louisiana honors for the second year in a row. She’s joined on the First Team by shortstop Taylor Pleasants, outfielder Ciara Briggs and utlitily Kelley Lynch.
