Dalton Kincaid Has Elite Potential For Fantasy In 2024

The era of the young stud TEs is upon us, and no one in the position has more opportunity to take a huge step forward than Dalton Kincaid. He is coming from a stellar rookie campaign that saw him record 73 receptions for 673 yards and two touchdowns. For the first five weeks of the season, Dawson Knox overshadowed Kincaid. Once he got injured, Kincaid took off, rattling off six straight weeks of TE 1 play (TE7, TE8, TE8, TE4, TE7, TE12).

When Knox returned, the Bills struggled to balance everyone's usage out for a couple of weeks, and then Kincaid was back in weeks 17-18 as TE7 and TE2. Now, the pass catchers are much more thin since the Bills traded away their number one target, Stefon Diggs, and let Gabe Davis, boom or bust, walk in free agency.

With those departures, 241 targets from 2023 walked out the door. While they did draft rookie Keon Coleman with the first pick of the second round and brought in oft-injured but proven playmaker Curtis Samuel, neither one of those players is profiled as a true number-one WR at this point.

In 2022, when Buffalo traded up for Kincaid, they stated they saw him as more of a WR/slot player than a true TE, and in 2024, he will have the opportunity to show it. With Josh Allen looking for a new go-to guy in what figures to still be a top half of the league offense, Kincaid will have the chance to show he is him.

Our consensus projections for Kincaid in the 2024 season are 87 receptions, 908 yards, and 7 touchdowns.
