California woman killed in motorcycle crash near Mesquite
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A 41-year-old California woman was killed when the motorcycle she was riding was struck by a car from behind, according to Nevada State Police. The crash happened on July 16 around 2:40 a.m. on IR 15 southbound near the Arizona/Nevada border. Troopers said the victim, identified as Rebecca Lynn Taylor from San Diego, was traveling southbound on a Harley Davidson motorcycle and was struck from behind by a Hyundai which failed to slow down.

Hearing delayed for father suspected of killing young son with fentanyl
The father accused of murdering his 2-year-old son had his hearing delayed Wednesday in Kern County Superior Court. Raul Rivera has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder of his son, Ezekiel, who overdosed on fentanyl.
