Suspect in 2017 cold case shooting pleaded not guilty to all charges
One of the suspects in a 2017 fatal shooting pleaded not guilty to murder charges Wednesday during his felony arraignment in Kern County Superior Court. Trevon Foreman, 28, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, one count of conspiracy to commit a crime and one count of participating in a street gang. He plead not guilty to all the charges, according to Kristin Davis, the court’s public information officer.

Salvation Army achievements provided by Ridgecrest generosity
In half a year, the Salvation Army has done incredible work for Ridgecrest, thanks to the community. Captain Gina Noble spoke with the Rotary Club of China Lake and provided a report of what has been donated and how they use it, akin to a profit/loss report. As a non-profit, social service the Salvation Army is obligated to share this data with the community. Man suspected of rape in Oildale has trial delayed
The trial for a man suspected of raping a woman in Oildale was delayed Wednesday in Kern County Superior Court as his defense attorney was engaged in a different trial. Alvin Carter, 37, is charged with forcible oral copulation, assault with intent to commit oral copulation, first-degree burglary and kidnapping. He pleaded not guilty to all of the charges.
