CASCO TWP. — One-way traffic will be maintained when an $857,000 resurfacing project gets underway on Gratiot Road in Casco Township on Wednesday.

According to the St. Clair County Road Commission, the work will be between County Line and Division roads and include asphalt pavement removal, cold milling, concrete rubblizing, a new aggregate base, and repaving the roadway with asphalt.

During construction, one lane of traffic will be kept within the area with southbound or westbound traffic being detoured using Division and Church roads and St. Clair Highway.

Local property owners and emergency vehicles will still have access to properties throughout the project, though residents are encouraged to plan for delays.

Construction is slated to be completed in 30 days.

The work is being financed through the road commission and state. The primary contractor is Teltow Contracting, Inc.
