VIDEO. From the California Coastal Commission meeting on Friday, August 9th, 2024 held at the King Gillette Ranch, 26800 Mulholland Hwy., Calabasas, as a hybrid meeting. Informational briefing on draft updates to the Commission’s Sea Level Rise Policy Guidance, which is available for public review and comment. The draft updates reflect: 1) evolving best available science; 2) integration of environmental justice principles and planning considerations; and 3) guidelines regarding updating Local Coastal Programs consistent with SB 272. This presentation will focus on updates related to science and SB 272 guidelines. A second informational briefing at a future Commission meeting will focus on the environmental justice updates.
