Steer tire blowout sends rig veering across interstate

A truck driver was hurt Monday after a wreck caused by a steer tire blowout in Missouri.

The accident happened on August 26th on Highway 249 near Zora, Missouri.

According to KOAM News , the tractor trailer was heading south on 249 when the left steer tire blew out, causing the rig to veer across the northbound lanes before coming to a stop in a nearby field.

The truck driver sustained injuries described as non life threatening and was taken to a nearby hospital. No other injuries were reported.
