The WNBA Rookie of the Year debate between Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky has been incredibly close, to say the least. In fact, as of a couple weeks ago, it was a near impossible decision with both players continuing to make history.

That said, one player is starting to gain separation in the race, and there's a growing consensus that she is the clear pick to win the award. That player is Clark, as she's been on fire recently and has shown no signs of slowing down. One stat in particular has been the deciding factor, displaying that she's simply too valuable to her team for her not to be the Rookie of the Year.

Being responsible for 42 percent of your team's points is simply unreal. Furthermore, to be a rookie having this level of impact is simply unheard of. Fans are noticing this stat and believe that the Rookie of the Year race isn't close anymore.

While she isn't actually in 5th place for MVP voting, some fans believe that she should be as high as No. 2 in the MVP race.

A'ja Wilson is the clear favorite to win the MVP award, and nobody's going to come close to touching her. That said, to even be that high in MVP talks would be insane for a rookie. However, this isn't the only fan to have this opinion.

While some fans are worried about her placement in MVP considerations, others are just simply amazing at this unbelievable stat.

This stat is jaw-dropping for a rookie, and it has to be appreciated to its fullest. Without a doubt, Clark is becoming the runaway favorite for the award, and something drastic would have to happen for that to change.
