One of the WNBA's biggest superstars is addressing the media during Friday's WNBA All-Star Weekend festivities.

The superstar we're talking about is Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese.

While Reese was not present during the WNBA's Orange Carpet on Thursday, she made it to Phoenix in time to partake in Friday's Team WNBA practice in preparation for their showdown against Team USA.

Reese conducted two separate media sessions on Friday. And in the second one, the Sky rookie made a major announcement about her participation (or lack thereof) in the WNBA Skills Competition, which is set to occur Friday evening.

"[The WNBA] did personally ask me," Reese said about taking part in the Friday's Skills Competition, per Desert Wave Media .

"But I just wanted to enjoy my first All-Star," Reese continued. "Being able to watch everything and enjoy the moment.

"There's some great shooters in the Skills [Competition], so I'm just going to be watching, at least for my first year," she added.

It had been unknown whether an invitation was extended to Reese regarding the Skills Competition.

But now fans know she did indeed receive in invite.

At least we'll get to see the rookie compete alongside Caitlin Clark during Saturday's All-Star game.
