Heat wave hitting before 4th of July

(PINPOINT WEATHER) — Tuesday was a treat! Abundant sunshine with no humidity! Highs ended up a little below the average of 90, too. But get ready for all that to change again. Another heat wave is coming our way for the Independence Day holiday and the upcoming weekend.

As high pressure moves east, the clockwise flow will pump in more heat and humidity. That will result in highs returning to the mid- and upper-90s starting 4th of July. Combined with the higher humidity level, it will feel like 100+ in many areas through the weekend. Another round of taking it extra easy out there and staying hydrated if you’re outside!

Of course, rain is still needed. There’s only a small chance of it for fireworks shows on Thursday, but we’ll get better chances over the weekend. Keep that in mind if you’re planning any outside activities, and check in for timing updates!

    Tonight: Mostly clear. Low 66.

Wednesday: Sun & clouds. Bit more humid. High 91.
