Who does Paul Finebaum have winning the college football title?

The college football season is right around the corner and last-minute predictions are filtering in. After a long offseason of speculating and reporting, Paul Finebaum finally announces his prediction to win the National Championship this season.

During a segment on ESPN's Get Up , Finebaum was asked to predict the team he believes will take home the crown this year. The popular sports analyst was quick to name the Georgia Bulldogs as his pick to win the title. But he does claim it won't be an easy road for the Bulldogs.

"I like Georgia," Finebaum said. "I'm not as sold on Georgia as I was last year and the reason I'm a little bit leery is Ohio State may have the best roster... But Georgia is still the pick."

Georgia is seemingly the team to beat in the SEC despite failing to win the SEC Championship and make a playoff appearance last season. Despite that, many felt that if the Bulldogs participated in last years College Football Playoff they potentially could have made a title appearance.

Last season, Georgia finished with an impressive 13-1 record and ended up playing the Florida State Seminoles in the Orange Bowl. The Bulldogs blew the Seminoles out of the water, winning the contest 63-3.

Looking into this upcoming season the Bulldogs lost some talent to the NFL draft. However, they are primed for another big year thanks to Kirby Smart's recruiting prowess. Carson Beck returns under center and the Georgia defense is as good as ever.

But the journey to the College Football Playoff will be a tough one for Smart and the Bulldogs. Georgia arguably has the most difficult regular season schedule in the nation.

They open the season against the Clemson Tigers while also having marquee matchups against the Alabama Crimson Tide, Texas Longhorns, Ole Miss Rebels, and Tennessee Volunteers. Three of those games will be on the road (Alabama, Texas, Ole Miss).

Despite the difficult schedule, Finebaum, as well as many other talking heads, believe Georgia can defy the odds and go on a deep run in the newly expanded playoff format. With 12 teams qualifying for the postseason this year, college football should be chock full of chaos throughout the season.
