The new Nike logo for Las Vegas Aces forward A'ja Wilson has sparked controversy among fans and media outlets. Many expressed disapproval of the design, and there seems to be confusion about its meaning, leading to a significant amount of criticism.

Earlier this week, 'Expert Adjacent,' a podcast by Just Women's Sports , released an episode that caught the attention of Wilson and her former South Carolina Gamecocks coach, Dawn Staley.

In the show, the three hosts criticized Wilson's logo, likening it to a "vertebrae" and suggesting that it "belongs in your spine." Additionally, they highlighted a modified version of Wilson's logo in which the letters spell out the word "a*s," with the "A" replaced by Wilson's logo.

Both Wilson and Staley called out the podcast/website for their comments.

"You know what the jig is up with Just Women’s Sports. I want to say more, but I’ll leave it at this. And btw, I love A'ja Wilson's logo. It’s innovative and creative. It’s A’ONE," Staley said on social media.

After sharing their thoughts on social media, 'Expert Adjacent' faced a barrage of hateful comments, prompting them to delete the post. This action came about following the responses from Staley and Wilson.

Since then, a shirt featuring Wilson's logo as the main design has completely sold out on Nike's website, effectively disproving the podcasters' earlier comments on it.
