What We Are Tracking: Dryer air working in behind a cold front, which will give us a sunny, low humidity weekend. Humidity returns by Monday, as tropical moisture returns to the area. The low pressure area we have been watching for most of the week is still off the upper Texas coast, while a second tropical wave in the Yucatan of Mexico will move into the southern Gulf on Saturday. With warm water in the Gulf and rather favorable atmospheric conditions could develop this system next week. Just need to watch at this point. Regardless of its future intensity, this system look as though it will bring us heavy rain next week. Stay weather aware. Possible Alert Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for heavy rain potential.
