Man Arrives at ER with Stab Wounds, Hospitalized in Critical Condition

A male with major stab wounds turned up at a hospital Saturday following reports of a fight, Escondido police said.

Officers, notified of the group fight at 1:42 p.m. Saturday, responded to 345 W. El Norte Parkway, according to Lt. Ryan Hicks.

“At 1:57 p.m., Palomar Medical Center called and advised that a male with stab wounds had just arrived at the emergency room,” Hicks said.

The patient remains at the hospital, listed in critical condition, he added.

Officers at the hospital determined that the original fight call and the stabbing were linked, but Hicks said there is no suspect description available.
