As of August 12, parts of your beloved Lakewalk trail will be intermittently off-limits, according to an announcement by the City of Duluth. Community Connection: "A Midsummer Night's Dream" at Hartley Nature Center
One hundred years ago in Duluth, residents gathered for an outdoor performance of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream in Hunter's Park performed by area youth. Now, a century later, Zeitgeist Theater is going into the woods at Hartley Nature Center with a group of young actors to perform that same play. "I can't get over that," says theater director Mary Fox of the serendipitous and unintentional timing.

Animal Allies has a cat named ‘Dennis Anderson’ after the WDIO legend. The 13-year-old orange domestic short hair is not up for adoption yet but should be soon. When Dennis was a just a kitten, human Dennis was still on the air at the time. Animal Allies staff tell us cat Dennis would sit on his owner’s head, sort of like human Dennis’ toupee.
