Three University of Minnesota Duluth men's hockey freshmen and one first-year transfer were named to the 2023-24 Newcomer National College Hockey Conference Academic All-Conference Team Tuesday for their work in the classroom during the past academic year. Among the 62 total conference athletes named, 37 -- including one Bulldog -- freshman forward Braden Fischer (Winnipeg, Manitoba)-- was also bestowed NCHC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete distinction for exceptional academic achievement following completion of the first year at their current school.
