HENDERSON, Ky, (WEHT) – A woman is in custody Thursday, after Evansville police say a woman attempted to bite an officer during her arrest.

According to an affidavit acquired by Eyewitness News, a call was made about an unruly resident at the Esquire Inn on Old Business 41.

Upon arriving, officers identified the resident as Sarah Camaron. According to officers, Camaron was upset about being evicted from her room.

It was then discovered by officers that Camaron had an outstanding warrant. The affidavit says when an officer tried to detain Camaron, she attacked him.

The affidavit goes on to say that Camaron grabbed the officers throat, struck him in the face and attempted to bite his hand. Officers say residents came to help restrain her while backup was arriving. The officer attacked by Camron was treated for multiple minor injuries at Deaconess Midtown.

Camaron was then arrested and taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail.
