A Canadian escaped injury Monday when a logging truck struck an SUV in Fairfield.

Manon Langelier of Quebec City, Quebec, was driving a 2021 Kia Sorento hauling a camper about 12:24 p.m. when Langelier failed to yield while turning onto Norridgewock Road from Middle Road, according to the Fairfield Police Department.

That’s when a 2019 Western Star tractor-trailer hauling a full load of logs struck Langelier’s Kia, Fairfield police said.

The crash sent the tractor-trailer into the ditch off the southbound side of the road.

Neither Langelier nor the tractor-trailer’s driver, Cady Gooden of Whitefield, New Hampshire, was injured.

    No charges are expected.
