The Fairfield Public Library will be having its Annual Public Meeting on Thursday, March 21, from 5-6 p.m. This is an opportunity to meet Board Directors, inquire about volunteering, or just learn more about the library.

Donie First Baptist Church

First Baptist Church of Donie will once again sponsor the Donie Community Easter Egg Hunt Saturday, March 23. This year’s Easter Egg Hunt will be on the grounds of the First Baptist Church located at 309 Worthy St., directly behind the Donie VFD.

There will be games, a hot dog lunch, and two Easter Egg Hunts, one for preschool age and younger children and the second one will be for grade school children.

The celebration will begin at 11 a.m. and will last until 1 p.m. Registration for door prizes will begin at 10:45 a.m.

Donie First Baptist Church

This Easter Sunday, First Baptist Church of Donie will sponsor a Community- Wide Easter Sunrise Service at 7:30 a.m. March 31. This year, the service will be held outdoors on the Parking Lot of the First Baptist Church, located at 309 Worthy St., directly behind the Donie VFD.

If the weather is inclement, the service will move into the church. The service is open to all who live in and around Donie.

Blood Drive

Freestone Medical Center and Carter BloodCare are hosting a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, at Freestone Medical Center. Carter BloodCare will actually perform the donation procedures in their own bloodcare bus, which will be parked in the FMC parking lot.

Wonka at the Park

Manning Enterprises presents Wonka in the Park from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 30, at Mexia City Park. There will be vendors, games and fun.
