Who doesn't love some delicious chicken and rice, a savory fatayer hand pie, and a syrupy baklawa dessert to top it all off?

Guests can step into Lebanese culture and taste a bevy of traditional foods at the 36th annual Lebanese Festival, which will run 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Our Lady of the Cedars Maronite Catholic Church at 507 S. Cleveland-Massillon Road in Fairlawn.

A variety of la carte items will range from tabbouleh (parsley salad) to kibbee — ground beef with cracked wheat — to stuffed grape leaves. Chicken, beef and falafel roll-ups will be served, as well as grilled entrees. Diners also can check out a variety of handmade Lebanese pastries and Lebanese drinks at the volunteer-run event.

Guests can eat indoors or out at the volunteer-run event. Music will be provided. Kids also can enjoy a jump house all day for $7.
