Things were once looking up in Fayetteville, Ark. The Razorbacks were 9-4 in just their second season under new head coach Sam Pittman.

Unfortunately, Arkansas has been unable to replicate its earlier success in recent years. After a 9-4 season, the Razorbacks went 7-6 and then 4-8. This season doesn't look any easier for them. According to Sporting News , Arkansas has the fourth toughest schedule in the SEC, with games against seven teams projected to be preseason-ranked.

ESPN's Paul Finebaum questioned whether Arkansas has the depth to handle the brutal schedule.

"My biggest question is if they have enough depth to sustain the schedule," Finebaum said.

Finebaum believes that the new offensive coordinator, Bobby Petrino, is expected to impact the team positively. However, he admits he doesn't feel well over Arkansas' season. Petrino joins Arkansas after serving as the offensive coordinator at Texas A&M last season.

During his one season, he significantly improved the team's offensive performance, helping the Aggies to move from No. 93 to No. 50 in yards per game nationwide. This improvement occurred despite star quarterback Conner Weigman only playing four games.

Still, Finebaum believes that addition to the team will not be sufficient to rescue Arkansas' season.
