A woman who stole $1.2 million from her former Tarrant County employer was sentenced this week to 35 years in prison.

Staci Blackmon, 39, in April pleaded guilty to two counts of theft over $300,000. Judge Julie Lugo on Tuesday sentenced her in the 372nd District Court in Tarrant County.

From May 2020 to June 2022 Blackmon stole money from accounts owned by SCH Homes, a Southlake luxury home builder, according to the indictment.

Blackmon used most of the stolen money to purchase TikTok coins , according to the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s Office. She also paid for a Dallas Mavericks suite, furniture and travel.

The victim in the second theft case is a person, not a business.
