    Carl Junction Hosts Webb City & Mt. Vernon in Volleyball Jamboree

    CARL JUNCTION, MO — Carl Junction volleyball hosted a jamboree with Webb City and Mt. Vernon in attendance on Tuesday.

    The Lady Cardinals took the first series against the Mountaineers 2-1. Adalyn Maxwell would put the finishing touches on the set to clinch the win for Webb City.

    In game three, Carl Junction played Webb City in what was a district championship rematch. In a competitive first set, Jaylee VanBecelaere got the Cardinals a 1-0 lead. The Bulldogs came storming back with a save by Jocelyn Wengert to keep Carl Junction alive in the match. In the final set, the Bulldogs were down big, but came all the way back to win on their home court 2-1.

    Up next, Carl Junction will travel to take on Kickapoo next Tuesday, while the Cardinals will travel to take on Clever.
