ST. LOUIS – 102 for a high on Tuesday tied the record from 1881, one of the oldest records still standing for STL.

As everyone wakes up Wednesday morning, we have scattered thunderstorms across the bi-state area. Occasional rain and storms throughout the day and the clouds that come with them will keep temperatures down a touch.

Highs in the mid 90s. But with the high humidity, heat index values are still expected to be 100+.

A heat advisory has been extended for the immediate metro St. Louis region. Please stay cool and hydrated and limit time spent outdoors in the hottest hours of the day.

Overnight into Thursday, the chance for scattered rain and thunderstorms continues. Wake up temps in the mid 70s. Hot with scattered storms again on Thursday.

A cold front moves through Friday with more widespread rain and storms and with a push of cooler air. Highs Friday near 90.

Mid 80s for highs over the weekend and top temps in the 70s are back next week.
