OHP: 68-year-old man dead after running red light in Creek County

CREEK COUNTY, Okla. — A Kellyville man is dead after a crash near Sapulpa last Thursday, troopers said.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said 68-year-old Rex Jacobs was driving westbound on State Highway 66 when he ran a red light, striking another driver at the intersection of State Highway 33.

Jacobs was taken to the hospital in critical condition and was pronounced dead Monday. The other driver was not injured.

OHP investigated the crash with assistance from the Creek County Sheriff's Office, Creek County EMS, Sapulpa Police and Kellyville Fire.
